Summer Sailstice - Sail locally, celebrate globally

"This is a great idea. We love to get folks out on their boats having fun in a non-competitive manner."

Summer Sailstice sailor, Marlin Sevy (Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 44 "Latitude") won a DeWitt print in 2002.

"We were unbelievably surprised to receive such a wonderful gift for simply doing what we do best, cruising with friends on the longest day of the year. The DeWitt print came beautifully framed ready to hang in our dining room. The sailboat is running under spinnaker in what appears to be perfect NW sailing conditions.

As soon as the 2003 Summer Sailstice sign up was available, you can bet I was on it. Thanks to John Arndt and Michelle Slade for a global reason to get out and sail.

This year the only place I'd rather be than good old Port Browning is the Bitter End Yacht Club in the BVI! It's only 5 minutes by dingy to the best cheeseburger in the Atlantic at the Fat Virgin Café!"
