Inaugural Summer Sailstice Perpetual Trophy offered on San Francisco by OCSC Sailing

The Yacht Racing Association of San Francisco Bay has created a new Summer Sailstice regatta for PHRF racers with a new perpetual trophy supplied by OCSC Sailing.  South Beach Yacht Club will host the regatta on the Berkeley Circle course which is due West of the Berkeley Marina and the home base of OCSC Sailing's school and club.

Bay Area sailors should mark June 17th on their calendar and spend the longest day of the year doing what you love best!  By teaming up the Yacht Racing Association of SF Bay (YRA) and Summer Sailstice are creating a new fun-filled day of racing and celebrating.   The  OCSC Sailing perpetual trophy will be awarded to the boat with the best time over the course.  This new trophy will reside at the South Beach Yacht Club, and each year the boat with the best overall time will be added to the trophy.

After the race all participants are invited to go to the Treasure Island Sailing Center for the Summer Sailstice party and presentation of the perpetual trophy.  If you're already signed up for the HDA season, you have nothing to do but show up on the starting line (though, since you'll be sailing on Summer Sailstice, you and your crew should also sign up at www.summersailstice.com for another  chance to win with prizes like a Moorings charter or one of over 200 other prizes )!  If you'd like to enter just this one race, or haven't yet signed up for the HDA season, contact the YRA office for more information and an entry form.  Be sure to check the YRA website (www.yra.org) for the race instructions, available after April 26th and visit www.tisailing.org for more information on the Saturday night party.
