The Lake Delta Yacht Club in Rome, New York, enjoyed its first annual Summer Sailstice celebration this year, and it looks like they had a great time. The June 19 Sailstice race included almost a dozen sunfish, a Lightening, and a cocktail cruiser! Although there wasn’t much wind, no one seemed to mind, as it was such beautiful day.
During the post-race party, members listened to ever-popular Jimmy Buffet tunes while enjoying cheeseburgers and libations. A few enthusiasts even danced in grass skirts. Prizes were handed out, and the day ended with a beautiful sunset on the lake. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s Sailstice—hopefully even bigger and better!
