The NC Governor’s Cup Regatta is an annual open One Design regatta. Sailboat dinghy classes include 420, 505, Buccaneer, Flying Scot, Hobie 16, Isotope, Jet 14, Laser, RS Aero, Sunfish, Tanzer 16, Thistle, Wayfarer, and Weta. A Racing Clinic is held on Friday with racing on Saturday and Sunday. Socials, a Dinner and Awards Ceremony are held. Camping is provided by the state park. Over 100 boats are expected with several classes holding regional or national championships at the event.
