John Arndt is not just an ordinary Ambassador-- though none of our ambassadors are ordinary! John is the founder of Summer Sailstice. Without John's passion for sharing sailing and growing it world-wide, Summer Sailstice would not be what it is, or what it means to so many sailors.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I grew up in a sailing family and learned to sail from my parents on the coast of Maine. I've sailed/owned a Snark, Turnabout, Laser, 420, Rhodes 19, Ensign and also cruised from Maine to Venezuela and back, through the Caribbean islands, sailed the Mediterranean, the English Channel, the French canals chartered the South Pacific and owned a Ranger 33 on San Francisco Bay for 18 years. Lots of racing from childhood until now. We have recently purchased a 1989 Sabre 38 Mk II and are sadly selling our Ranger 33.
