Hop on your boat after work, Friday 18th, (18:00) and sail across Utah Lake to Pelican Bay Marina for a sailors "sleep-over". Historically we have celebrated the Sailstice with sailing into the night on the day before the longest day of the year, mingling, camping, climbing the mast, renewing old friendships, handing out Latitude 38 magazines, making home made ice cream, fishing, watching Saratoga Springs evacuate from wild fires, hibatchi cooking on the dock and swapping stories about the outrageous wind storms we've sailed in. Make sure you have mosquito netting for your open hatches. Sail around at your leisure all day Saturday, knowing that the same activity is being celebrated all around the world at the same time you are pulling off the perfect tack.
