Club Cruceros' Veleros de Baja
Organized by our Fleet Captain "Sea Otter" Jimmy Loburg, Veleros de Baja is the Club Cruceros Sailboat Racing Fleet. It is a very informal racing group with "Beer Can" style racing.
We'll celebrate Summer Sailstice with a race on Friday, June 21st, with a 1:00 pm start. Listen to the morning net on VHF Channel 22 for race announcements. or call "Sea Otter Jimmy" on 22 with your questions. He'll be monitoring Channel 68 during the race.
That evening, come on down to Estrella de Mar where our own Captain Wayne will be performing live tunes on the deck. We'll announce the winners of the race and award prizes!
The goal of the group is to encourage cruisers to throw off their dock lines, unhook from the mooring or pull up the anchor and go out for a day of boating! Join us!
