Svendsen’s Bay Marine, a cornerstone of the Bay Area’s boating community since 1963, invites the public to a Grand Opening to celebrate the completion of its multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation. Svendsen’s Bay Marine has nearly doubled the size of the facility and added state-of-the-art capabilities including California’s first indoor yacht paint booth.
Guests are invited to enjoy facility tours, live demonstrations, marine vendor exhibits, community boating partners, food, drinks, music, and giveaways. Guests can also enter a drawing for a chance to win a free boat haul-out and bottom painting. The event is open to all and free to attend.
New property features include:
- High-tech yacht paint booth (up to 75 ft)
- Expanded engine, rigging, outboard, and metal shops
- Large boat shop for refits and new builds
- Large, fully stocked marine Chandlery
- New remote-controlled Travel Lift (100-ton capacity)
- New floating docks for in-water service
- Longer berths for larger vessel capacity
- Dedicated mast zone for rigging and repair
Svendsen’s Bay Marine team members, marine vendors, boat dealers, and local boating organizations. Richmond Mayor Eduardo Martinez and will present a Mayoral certificate of recognition and "christen" the new shipyard.
