This is a well-established, international event that simply celebrates the sport of sailing. The Dillon Marina, the Town of Dillon and the Dillon Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program are looking forward to hosting this event alongside the International community for the first time on Lake Dillon. Our intention is that whatever shenanigans we cook up for this celebration, all proceeds will benefit the DYC Junior Sailing.
Now, ALL WE NEED IS YOU! Let’s get together, benefit a great cause, and put Lake Dillon on the International map for being one of the best best sailing communities in the world!
The anticipated schedule is as follows:
2:00PM: Meet and Greet at the Dillon Marina. Boat owners with boat and folks looking to sail can come together.
2:30PM: Sailstice briefing meeting before heading off to your boats.
3:00PM: Start Summer Sailstice at the end of A-Dock and marks to pass will be announced at the Meet and Greet.
5:00PM: The shenanigans begin with Summit County’s very own Blues Trio. Led by guitarist Chris “Banjo” Bauer, Dan “Pockets” Brewer on Bass and Cody”Sticks”Palmer on Drums on the Sailstice Main Stage floating in the middle of Dillon Bay. Boom!! Drop your mainsail, set anchor, hoist your Colorado flag and enjoy this very unique concert in the bay. A drone will be flying around to capture the perfect picture of boats at anchor flying the Colorado flag. What a great visual for Colorado to the International sailing community. Let do this!
6:30PM Concert concludes and go for a sunset sail or return to shore for more dock talk and making new friends.
