Chesapeake Light Craft is inviting you to get organized for Summer Sailstice by offering huge discounts on sailing rigs and components for its range of sailboat kits.
And then they're inviting you to join them for a Summer Sailstice sail or two!
"This year, the Chesapeake Light Craft team is joining the fun of this massive virtual messabout with an informal cruise or two and you can join us, wherever your sailing grounds may be!"
How cool would it be to sail the Sailstice on a boat you've built yourself. There's still time, but you need to start now.

Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) means just that: lightweight water craft originating in the Chesapeake. This outstanding group of dedictated mariners and woodworkers has designed and put together kits and plans for a range of light-weight kayaks, canoes, rowing boats, dinghies and of course, sailboats. Did you know that more than 30,000 CLC boats have been built from kits and plans?
"Our designs are built by amateurs and professionals alike in more than 70 countries around the world."
These kits are so simple that you can order one and have it sent to you in the mail, and build it in your own garage. Though if you don't feel brave enough to jump right in you can sign up for a CLC Boat Building Class. There are mutiple locations around the country. And if you happen to be in the Chesapeake region, why not drop in to Chesapeake Light Craft's Annapolis Showroom and boatbuilding shop to see finished examples of the boat kits and maybe purchase some supplies and gear?
As the handy crew at Chesapeake Light Craft say,
"Always remember: Days spent on the water are not subtracted from your life."
