GET YOUR FLEET INTO THE GAME

Sailstice Sailing Stats - Who's sailing?

The Summer Sailstice statistician has been working hard pouring over all the boat data that comes flooding in and we wanted to share a few stats with you. There are hundreds and hundreds of different types of boats out on the water.  Wouldn't it be great fun to get all the Ensigns or Hunters or Catalina'a or Beetle Cats or Scows or Snipes out on the water all at the same time?  This is the simple goal of Summer Sailstice and with your help you can untie your friends from their moorings and get your fellow Hunter or Ensign or Beetle Cat sailing friends SIGNED UP and out on the water.

TIME TO GET YOUR FLEET INTO THE GAME!!!

Catalina has over a 1,500 boats signed up, Hunter has 1,100 signed up and Flying Scot day sailors are 50. We know they made more than 50 boats. Macgregor and O'Day have over 300 boats in the game and yet Hobie has close to 200. Hobie sailors it is time untie and get your Fleet into the game. There are 67 Cape Dorys, 150 Tartans, 300 Pearsons, 8 Nonesuch, 500 Benateaus, 25 Cheoy Lees, 33 Lancers.......we know they all made more. Join your fellow Laser sailors and GET YOUR FLEET INTO THE GAME by signing up now.  Here are some tools to make it easy.

2nd quirky stat from the 'roster':

Boat Names the S's have it!

Once again the Summer Sailstice statistician has been hard at work playing with Excel files so you are in the know. Did you know that the most popular letter (by a 2 to 1 margin) to start the name of your boat is S? Look at my boat Summer Sailstice, a Ranger 33 of which there are 113 boats in the game. Then it starts to get close. C and M are in a statistical dead heat before the letter T, then A, then P, then B, then W ( all those Wind Dancers, Wind Song, Whispers and Wanderlusts), then rounding out the top ten is L, then F.

And of course the least popular, you guessed it, is X, but X-Ray-Sails and X-Ta-Sea are Xciting...Names are great fun from Passing Wind to Second Wind to Mast Confusion to Luna Sea and Knot Ready and Hang on Sloopy and one of my favorites- PARTS. Thanks to everyone for sharing their boat names and their type of boats with us. More Stats to come....Remember to Sign up and sail and let us know your boat.
