Happy Earth Day Sailors!
Earth Day is the world's largest environmental movement. Today we celebrate this beautiful place we are so lucky to explore, steward and call home. As sailors, we are closely connected to the earth and the ocean, in tune and aware of the cycles as they come and go. We are first-hand witnesses to the impact that pollution, fishing, and reduced habitat are having on our shores, both fresh and saltwater.
Today is about hope, optimism, and action. When you join Summer Sailstice you join sailors everywhere making changes and bringing awareness into our daily lives because every day should be earth day.

Through solution-oriented programs, Sailors for the Sea unites a core constituency of sailors and boaters, nearly 12 million strong, whose support helps to win victories to save the world’s oceans.
Through the programs Clean Regattas, Green Boating and KELP (Kids Environmental Lesson Plans), Sailors for the Sea is doing great work for our planet.

Sailors for the Sea Powered by Oceana’s Kids Environmental Lesson Plans (KELP) program features free, downloadable, educational activities that teach students the importance of preserving healthy and abundant oceans. With many schools closed and students confined to home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sailors for the Sea is highlighting some of their most popular KELP activities that can be done safely at home.
