Welcome aboard to Julien Hofberg. Julien is a life long sailor and 21-year veteran of Summer Sailstice. This year Julien will be sailing the Chesapeake on Sailstice.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
Started sailing in Jr High on a friend's uncle's boat. As Uncle got bigger boats, the sailing bug bit in hard. Fast forward to marriage, friends invited us, my wife loved it as well. We bought our first boat, a project, with no knowledge. Learned the boat well, moved up through three more boats to present a "retirement" boat. We have been sailing the Chesapeake Bay on our own boats since 1987, have circumnavigated the DelMarVa, and have sailed up to New England. We both love sailing, we are active in several sailing groups and enjoy teaching and encouraging others to live this sailing lifestyle.
