Welcome aboard Marc Meyer. Marc has been sailing for over 55 years and is one of the founders of Creek Fleet Sailing Club in Stoney Creek Metropark in SE Michigan. Marc has also been participating in Summer Sailstice since the very beginning.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I have been sailing and racing sailboats since 1965. I am the proud owner of the 1960s 14' Pintail sailboat originally owned by my father (who now frequently crews for me!). I have raced on all sizes of boats and in venues throughout the world.
I am one of the founders of the Creek Fleet Sailing Club located at Stony Creek Metropark in SE Michigan. The club has been going strong for over 12 years and is made up of a mixed fleet of daysailers (anything with a sail can join us!). We have a great mix of beginner sailors and advanced racers. The club races every Thursday night during the summer and Sunday afternoon in the Fall, with several weekend regattas throughout the year. Everyone helps everyone else to learn how to improve their sailing abilities.
