Daryl Ramage of Pelican Yacht Club in Ninette, Manitoba Canada joined Summer Sailstice yesterday. His plans include, put a sail on it, sail out of the Pelican Yacht Club and practice "sociable" distancing. Daryl sails a Sirius 21, sv Island Time which he purchased in 2009. Living his life in land locked areas, he never thought he could obtain or afford the sailing lifestyle, but once he purchased Island Time, that all changed. He writes a great blog called The Thifty Sailor, which highlights lake sailing and the ability to sail on a budget. Daryl's great perspective is a reminder that sailing is more accessible than many believe. It's not about the boat, or how much you money spend, but about getting on the water, filling the sails and traveling with the wind.
