The Rum Race in Galveston Bay is a legendary regatta hosted by Galveston Bay Cruising Association in collaboration with Cruz Rum. This year, we had our pal Kevin on the water, competing for the first place title. He was not alone though, he had his friends Bruce and Jeannie crewing for him, and even helped save his rig when a shroud came undone on the leeward side sailing out to the race!! Although it was a slow finish, it is much preferable to a lost rig! The weather was hot, but tolerable with the help of cold beer - have you raced in this regatta before?
