Says Captain Fred of Bay Song: "It was raining hard as we drove to the boat, predictions of 50% chance of rain and thunderstorm appeared to be coming true. But the skies cleared as the crew arrived and we left the dock on time, tacking down Back River in a 10 knot southerly. Spirits were high as we relished being on the water. Passing Hart Miller Island on a starboard reach, we hardened up towards Tolchester Beach. After tacking for home, we almost had a mutiny when the rum ran out, but quick action by our purser Bill to produce a home made cherry mead saved the Captain from mayhem. As we docked just before sunset, all agreed it had been a perfect Sailstice."
