SF Bay on Sailstice Day!

We have a soft spot for San Fransisco Bay as it is not only our headquarters, but also where we find a lot of incredible sailors! This year was no exception as sailors old and new gathered on the bay to enjoy the sunshine (yes, there was sunshine) and consistent winds. Here are a few sailors that were kind enough to share their day with us:

Randall von Wedel

Not only was Randall sailing aboard a beautiful 1989 Sabre 36, Panache, owned by Will Deady but he was also snapping photos of J-22’s competing in the Lipton Cup Regatta! Participating and spectating Sailstice - we love it!

Alan Shirek

Alan psyched himself out by not going sailing due to predicted wind, but still enjoyed Sailstice on the Sausalito Yacht Club deck where they surrounded themselves with like-minded people. Fortunately, their sail-less Sailstice was redeemed on Sunday when they went sailing with his wife, son, and his girlfriend. The wind did blow and scared his son's girlfriend a bit, but she was a good sport about it.

Carolyn Guzman

We love welcoming new sailors to the Sailstice celebration! This year was Carolyn's first, and certainly not her last. On the day of, her family enjoyed some events like the Sailing Science Center at Oakland Yacht Club and sailing out to the SF bay. Her son especially enjoyed the sailing science exhibits and the long-overdue nap on our way out of the Alameda estuary. We look forward to seeing how they celebrate next year!
