In the epicenter of the high tech world, Silicon Valley, is a conventient lake with warm sun, fresh breeze and sailboats. Given all those great ingredients they continue to reach out to offer sailing on Summer Sailstice and all year long.
The recent newsletter announced their plans:
Thursday, June 21st, is the longest day of this year (for the SF Bay Area) and the official start of summer. While the Park doesn't allow bonfires to mark this occasion, if you do want to celebrate by being on the water, drop by Shoreline Lake this weekend for their event in the global 2018 Summer Sailstice.
Not sure it's for you? This annual, family-friendly celebration of summer and sailing was created to showcase the benefits of sailing, by introducing newcomers to, and dispelling common myths about, this fun and exciting Olympic sport. To quote the Sailstice organizers, "Age is no barrier. Anyone can sail, you just need to get in the boat!"
