With races and events being canceled by the day, we see how hard sailing is being hit by this virus. However hard this is, we are committed as a community to taking all the steps necessary to get through this as quickly as possible.
Summer Sailstice has always been a virtual event, encouraging participants to get out ‘together’ to celebrate sailing wherever they are in the world. Whether Sailstice parties, raft-ups, races and community events will be possible, still remains to be seen. Regardless, we will be celebrating the 20th Summer Sailstice, in some way come June 20th. Hopefully, we will be hoisting our sails, but if not, we will adjust course!
While we are all sheltered-in-place, dreaming about the sailing days ahead and hoping we will be sailing on the 20th Anniversary of Summer Sailstice. No matter what happens, we will be coming together on June 20th to celebrate sailing, together. We will give away prizes, hoist our flags, raise our cups, and have super fun contests. We hope you will join us. Sailing just isn't the same without you!
