Jeff Arnfield has set down boat roots on Watauga Lake in Tennessee with sailing vessel Impulsive! Awaiting a refit, Impulsive is a a Pearson 28-2 and has featured in the last several Summer Sailstice celebrations with Jeff. Jeff joined a 2017 celebration on Watauga Lake. In 2019 they hosted a Summer Sailstice celebration on Windward, Jeff's Chrysler 26 awaiting a refit. "S/V Windward is once again hosting Summer Sailstice somehow, somewhere, on Watauga Lake. The dogs and ponies were all busy, so this is a show-and-go day sail and raftup. If you have a sailboat, a good attitude and concurrent senses of humor and adventure, consider joining us." They're bringing this same tongue-in-cheek spirit back for the 2023 celebration!
Jeff writes about his Impulsively Perennial Watauga Lake Summer Sailstice Messabout: "After a pandemic (and change of ship) hiatus, the crew is aboard S/V Impulsive to once again observe Summer Sailstice some way, somehow, somewhere on Watauga Lake. The dogs, ponies and unicorns were still busy, so this is likely to be a low key, show-and-go day sail and BYOE raftup, with eventual location TBD based on weather, attendance and the capricious whim of S/V Impulsive's skipper.
