Nine sailboats rafted up on Lake Petenwell to enjoy the longest days of the summer.
On Petenwell Lake, Wisconsin, sailors from the Barnum Bay Yacht Club celebrated the sailstice with a beautiful early afternoon sail in 15 to 20 knot winds. Around four o’clock, boats started to raft up, with nine boats rafted up by dinnertime. For dinner, everyone shared a delicious potluck dinner which included gourmet burgers and a variety of yummy desserts! After dinner, another boat joined the raft up and plans to join the “fun” club! Some of the boats anchored out for the night and enjoyed a nice, but quieter, sail home in the morning. The was Barnum Bay Yacht Club’s first year participating in the Sailstice, and everyone is already looking forward to next year’s festivities!
