Summer Sailstice Moves to Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda This Year
Summer Sailstice, a global celebration of sailing that began in 2001 and takes place annually on the solstice, has moved this year from San Francisco’s Treasure Island to the Encinal Yacht Club, on the island of Alameda. Sailstice takes place this coming Saturday, June 18th.
Through the event’s website, participants can search for boats that have signed up across five continents and find or join a crew. (Technically, in the southern hemisphere, it takes place during winter, on the shortest day of the year.) Read More.
