Ashtabula Yacht Club is putting on a 10-mile sail & race Saturday to celebrate Summer Sailstice.
Club spokesman Robert Lee said the goal is to enjoy the sunset over the harbor during the return leg of the race. Club members will use their powerboats to mark the turning point in the race. The Ashtabula Yacht Club sits in a protected harbor on the Ashtabula River, approximately s half-mile south of the lighthouse on Lake Erie. The club is located in northeast Ohio, 60 miles east of Cleveland.
Lee ordered 36 Summer Sailstice T-Shirts for Saturday's celebration.
