The Bay Yacht Club, located on the shores of Corpus Christi Bay of Corpus Christi, Texas planned a sailboat race to celebrate the Sailstice. Unfortunately, the race was cancelled due to winds over the limit but club member Bruce Swart still managed to make it out on the water - he went windsurfing at Bird Island Basin on Padre Island (see photo below). In the evening, the Club continued on with its Summer Sailstice Celebration with a pot luck dinner. The ladies and gents all turned out with outrageous sunglasses and sunny summer attire. The club hopes to get more luck with the winds next year and get more members signed up on the website (yippeee!).
