Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sail? Well, Carter Lake Sailing Club is offering FREE sailboat rides between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm on June 23 at Carter Lake.

Sailors around the world are making plans to celebrate the sailing lifestyle by sailing ‘together’ on, June 23, the weekend closest to the summer solstice.

In 50 US states and over 40 countries, sailors will be participating and, with Carter Lake Sailing Club members readying their sailboats for the 2012 Summer Sailstice, they anticipate record numbers of eager guests to sign up for rides. The New Ancorage, just west of Longmont, is co-hosting and will be providing kayaks, paddle boards and Hobie trimaran demos. All you have to do is come to Carter Lake Sailing Club Clubhouse at the north end of Carter Lake (just up the hill from North Pines Rd lake access) and sign up, or to sign up before hand, visit our website: www.sailcarter.org and follow the link to the sign up sheet.
