THIS JUST IN!
Randy Draftz, president of the business Charleston Yachting, writes in:
Here is a Summer Sailstice idea that has turned into big fun at our yacht club. It is the Winter and Summer Solstice Sunset Contest. Contestants pick a landmark that the sun will set onto. Landmarks are chosen at the winter solstice for the summer, and the winter solstice landmark is chosen during the summer solstice celebration. It's become a very good excuse to get everyone together.
The contest involves photographing a landmark at sunset on the summer solstice and sending it to us at Summer Sailstice.
"I love the idea of taking a sunset photo from points all around the world!" agrees John Arndt, Summer Sailstice Founder.
So, have at it and send us your photo of your Summer Sailstice landmark at sunset!
