Fairhope Yacht Club is inviting their members out on the 19th with the following event. A sail to Middle Bay Light and a night in Ingram Bayou - sounds good to us even thought I've never spent a night in a bayou.
Fellow Cruisers,
June 19, 2010 marks the 10th annual Summer Sailstice , a global event with the goal of getting as many sailors and sailboats out on the water as possible all over the world on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice, the longest sailing day of the year. This year, Fairhope Yacht Club’s cruisers plan on participating in this celebration.
Skipper’s meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM June 19 under the clubhouse. We will sail as a group from the club to Middle Bay Light. At the light we will split into two groups, one continuing on to Ingram Bayou to anchor for the night, and one returning to the club. The Ingram Bayou group will return home on Sunday, June 20.
Spread the word – we’d like to get as many club members as possible to participate!
