February 8th, 2012 | Summer Sailstice Newsletter

Celebrate sailing: Ceiliuradh a dheanamh ar seoltoireacht, feire seiling, swietowac zeglarstwo, yelken kutlamak , celebrar vela, kusherehekea sailing, mioi a kott, celebrer la viole - any way you say it, everyone should sign up and "Celebrate Sailing." (You're right - One of those says "slipped on a cat")

Sign up and sail with your sailing friends in Norway. Or Croatia. Or Turkey. Or France, India, China, Vietnam, Venezuela? Send this quick invitation to your worldwide sailing friends to join you in a celebration of sailing on June 23rd.

Tying a knot on Summer Sailstice:

Most sailors know it's important to be able to tie good knots which is just what Mary Lickfeld and Richard Bennet did when they "tied the knot" aboard their Beneteau 36.7 "Chronos" on Summer Sailstice 2011 in Lake Erie. If you've got a big event planned for Summer Sailstice 2012, let us know. We'll post it in our Featured Events for 2012.

Anyone sailing the BVI for Summer Sailstice 2012?

Footloose returns for 2012. When you sign up and sail on Summer Sailstice you'll have a chance to win a gift certificate good for a BVI charter! In addition, they'll be offering a 2012 Summer Sailstice charter special so you can sail in the BVI this year with a chance to win another charter for next year. (Details coming soon) Remember, there's more daylight hours/day at the end of June so more sailing time for your charter time. Let us know your plans and we'll post your Summer Sailstice charter itinerary.

More Prize Winners: Congrats to Chris Bailey!

Congratulations to Chris Bailey from Alameda, CA. She won a VHF radio from West Marine! Chris, (a multiple boat owner), says, "EXCELLENT! A handheld VHF has been on my wishlist. It'll be handy when I'm out on the El Toro too!
