Susan Osborne wrote in to tell us about the sailing in Kansas (windy) and the plans for their plans at the Ninnescah Sailing Association.
The Ninnescah Sailing Association (Yacht Club) will be participating in the Summer Sailstice event for the second year on June 23, 2012 with a “Summer Sailstice and Blessing of the Fleet” event and Pot Luck Barbecue. The yacht club is located at Cheney Lake just 20 minutes west of Wichita, Kansas. The lake is known nationally as a great sailing lake (Kansas has lots of wind after all)! The event will be held at the NSA’s Afterdeck Clubhouse patio and at the point near the Shelter House. NSA members and guests are being encouraged to purchase paprika Summer Sailstice t-shirts in advance through co-hosts Susan Osborne and Guy McCormick. The event at NSA will include a Pot Luck Dinner with the main course provided (hamburgers, hot dogs and fixings). Donations to cover the main course will be appreciated. Bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share.
