David Devens of Lewmar Marine recently received this note from 2012 Summer Sailstice winner Manny Moreno from Chula Vista, CA.
Hi Dave,
Wow, this is great news. I guess I should also buy some lottery tickets now that luck is on my side. LOL
Firstly I want to congratulate the organizers of such a great event for putting all this together and also Lewmar for producing such durable winches. I also want to take this opportunity to ask Lewmar to keep our developing organization on the loop as we have great projects for the future. In addition, I would like to ask if we may add your company logo on our website.
Our organization and sailing club has participated in the past and always have had lots of fun doing it. Keep up the good work and see you on the water.
Please send the Lewmar winch maintenance kit our mailing address in San Diego, CA.
Fair winds,
J. Manuel Moreno, ASA
FOUNDER & C.E.O.
Manny is an avid sailor devoted to sharing sailing primarily in the beautiful Sea of Cortez Mexico. In fact, he runs Reality Sailing out of Chula Vista California and introduces it this way “Welcome to Reality Sailing. Our organization focuses in presenting to the world the reality of sailing, and how enjoying this great sport and transportation system benefits everyone, most importantly our planet.” These are sentiments shared by most Sailstice sailors.
Manny opened an email from David that started, “Your name has been selected in a random drawing of sailors participating in the 2012 Summer Sailstice. Your prize is a Lewmar winch maintenance kit and offered to reward you for joining a global celebration of sailing on the longest sailing weekend of the year.”
Over 400 others have received prizes this year contributed by companies such as Lewmar Marine. As always we want to thank Lewmar for helping support a global sailing celebration and people like Manny who join in while also teaching so many others how to participate in sailing as well.
