Summer Sailstice is being celebrated all over the United States! Sailors in North Dakota will be celebrating the Sailstice on Whitmeyer and Berthold bays in Lake Sakakawea. The lake levels are high enough for some excellent sailing and everyone is looking forward to June 19th! It will be a two-night event; Friday will be spent at Whitmeyer and Saturday at Berthold. In 2008 five sailboats gathered on the lake for a Sailstice celebration, last year eleven sailbots were a part of the fun, and anyone is welcome to join this year’s festivities! Check out this video for some awesome views of the lake and surrounding area. Any one with a smaller “trailerable” boat is welcome to come from out of state or elsewhere.
