Steve Miller Band and Doobie Brothers rock America’s Cup Pavilion

SailSFBay.org and Tim Han of OCSC Sailing were both beneficiaries of America's Cup support of sailing outreach at the Steve Miller Band/Doobie Brothers event at the America's Cup Pavilion on the night of the summer solstice.  Tim signed up for the Summer Saisltice event at Encinal Yacht Club and had his name drawn as a winner of tickets to the Friday night concert.  In addition, SailSFBay.org, a Bay Area organization supporting youth outreach and growing participation in sailing, was the beneficiary of a share of concert ticket sales.  The America's Cup posted a short story on their site:

Steve Miller, who moved to San Francisco over 45 years ago to launch the Steve Miller Band, played the newest venue in his adopted hometown on Friday night, rocking the America’s Cup Pavilion.

The Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers played to a packed house along the waterfront at the America’s Cup Park at Piers 27/29.

With showmanship worthy of their years on stage, the Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers played all their hits, leaving the stage to enthusiastic cheers from their fans.
