Now celebrating its 10th year, this year’s Summer Sailstice holiday includes Sailstice regattas on San Francisco Bay. Register now to compete in The Yacht Racing Association’s (YRA) Summer Sailstice regatta for HDA and ODCA. Registration details can be found at www.yra.org. Results will be posted on the YRA website. Boats sailing in the HDA Divisions compete for the Olympic Circle Sailing Club (OCSC) Summer Sailstice Perpetual Trophy, now in its 4th year, awarded to the boat with the best corrected time overall. After the race plan to head in to Treasure Island to take part in all the festivities, including live music, food and drink, lots of vendor booths, a boat building contest and more.
All racers are eligible to participate in Summer Sailstice, regardless of where you are racing. As long as you’re sailing, you qualify! Sailors racing in the Bermuda Race, the Singlehanded Transpac, the Coastal Cup and, in all Summer Sailstice regattas can sign up to win prizes. If you are skipper and/or crew in any of these or other races, by signing up at www.summersailstice.com you also have a chance to take home a prize just for sailing the weekend of June 19th.
