Summer Sailstice At Strictly Sail Pacific

The recent Strictly Sail Pacific at Jack London Square in Oakland California was once again a terrific place to introduce this year's t-shirts, hats and buurgees plus see old friends and new.  A couple hundred new folks sign up to participate in Summer Sailstice 2014 but this was down from past years.  Now why is that?  We did see and talk to thousands of sailors and, after 13 past Summer Sailstice events, we realized the vast majority of them already know of Summer Sailstice and are already signed up to sail.

And a couple of them won some cool America's Cup gear.  Actually so far just one since we haven't heard from the other. But Ann Bliss - a sailor from Stockton had her name drawn and is the winner of an America's Cup backpack.  Congratulations Ann!

Nice stuff!

The always popular Everett & Jones back room blues bar is a popular gathering spot.  Who are these folks?

Volunteers at the SailSFBay.org booth introduced people to all the access points to sailing in the Bay Area.

We found a great spot for one of our Summer Sailstice banners.  Hope you were there to see it.

Four days of perfect boat show weather.

KKMI's drone travellift was a popular attraction.

Ok, but enough walking and talking.  Let's go sailing!  See you on the water.
