Another good reason to attend on Thursday the 15th, besides all the boats and gear, is an appearance by the America’s Cup and team BMW/Oracle. The Cup doesn’t get out in public that often and it changes your sense of the history of sailing and the Cup when you see the ‘Auld Mug’ in person. The Cup and the show are a great combination.
